Agrippa, Gryp
A count or earl whose lands bordered on those of King Hoel of Brittany. Agrippe waged war on Hoel, besieging the town of Alinge and wounding Kahedin, Hoel’s son. On the verge of defeat, Hoel enlisted the aid of Tristan, who subsequently killed Agrippe’s nephew, Alquin, and spurred Hoel’s forces to victory. Agrippe was slain the battle.
The same character is known as Albroino in the Italian La Tavola Ritonda.
