NIGHTBRINGER | The Arthurian Encyclopedia

Robais

One of Arthur’s court cities, apparently located nine days’ journey from the castle Brandigant. (Because of the possible otherworldly overtones of the Joy of the Court, Phyllis Ann Karr aren’t sure if to make those nine days as a geographically accurate marker.)

After the adventures with which he proved that marriage had not made him any less of a knight, Erec found King Arthur in Robais with five hundred of his nobles, feeling distressed because he had so few at court.
