Sword of Hercules

King Ryons of North Wales, like the Giant of Saint Michael’s Mount, was trimming a mantle with the beards of kings he had conquered. He already had eleven when he sent a message that he wanted Arthur’s beard to complete the project. What became of Ryons’ mantle after his defeat is unknown.

The sword was forged by Vulcan and had once belonged to Hercules, an ancenstor of Ryons. Arthur won it during the battle with Ryons before Leodegrance’s city of Daneblaise (in Cameliard).
