Adventurous Shield

A defensive and symbolic object central to medieval warfare and Arthurian romance.

Objects of judgment, destiny, and worth in Arthurian legend.

Josephe, son of Joseph of Arimathea, is portrayed in the Vulgate romances as the first Christian bishop and the original Grail Keeper.

Once Balin's weapon, this sword carried both prophecy and peril. Only the destined knight could wield it safely.

A sacred relic of destiny, the Adventurous Shield could be borne safely by only one knight: Galahad, the pure Grail hero.
