Asena

Asena is a legendary she-wolf in Turkish mythology, particularly among the Turkic peoples. According to the legend, she played a significant role in the origin story of the Turks.

The story goes that a gray wolf was sent by the sky deity to aid a Turkic tribe in their time of need. This wolf, Asena, came upon a wounded Turkic prince named Süleyman Shah. Instead of devouring him, Asena helped Süleyman Shah, and he eventually recovered from his injuries. Süleyman Shah and Asena later mated, and their offspring became the ancestors of the Turkic people.

Asena is often depicted as a symbol of protection, strength, and the bond between humans and nature. She represents the primal spirit of the Turkic peoples and their connection to the land and wildlife. The legend of Asena is deeply ingrained in Turkic folklore and is celebrated as an important part of their cultural heritage.
