Vavasour

Vavaseor, Vavasor, Vavassor, Vavassors, Vavassour, Vavassours

There are several ‘vavasours’ in the Vulgate and below are some of Sommer’s list. Some of them might be the same person.

  • Vavasour
    A trusted servant of Nascien, accompanies with his son, Alyator, the latter’s wife Flegentine, when she sets out in search of her husband.
  • Vavasour
    Who meets young Lancelot not far from ‘le Lac’, accepts venison from him, gives him a present of a fine grey-hound, and is struck by his remarkable resemblance to the late King Ban.
