Gué d’Aventures
The location of a tournament won by Gawaine. Gawaine received such honor for his victory that the Maiden of the Narrow Wood, who had never seen Gawaine, fell in love with him.
Note
Ford is a word for “a shallow place where water can be crossed”, a place allowing one to walk, ride or drive across.
