Peningue

Peningues, Penning

A city and a castle.

Surrounded by woods and fertile fields, this was one of the castles of Galehodin, the nephew of Duke Galeholt. Eventually Galehodin dubbed a wealthy and worthy burgher who lived nearby and invested him with the castle.

A tournament was held here against Galihodin where Lancelot, Mordred, and Foreston attended. Lancelot won the tournament.

Peningue would be in Surluse, or else in Norgales (Northgalis) near Surluse.
