Bosherston Lily Ponds
Bosherston Pool is a freshwater lagoon located in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
Its beautiful freshwater lake is said to be one of the many reputed lakes from which Arthur obtained his sword, Excalibur. He is also said to have been taken to Avalon from here.
Bosherston Pool is not a natural lake but rather a series of man-made lily ponds created in the eighteenth century. The pools were designed by Sir Thomas Phillipps, the then-owner of the Stackpole Estate, as part of a landscaping project.
