Arthur’s Colt
A prehistoric megalithic monument located on the Isle of Anglesey in Gwynedd, Wales. This cromlech is also known as Arthur’s Quoit, though just where Arthur was meant to have thrown this quoit from is unknown.
It is a well-preserved burial chamber or dolmen, which consists of a large captstone supported by several upright stones. The monument is believed to date back to the Neolithic period, which began around 4000 BC and continued until around 2000 BC in Britain. It may also have been used during the Bronze Age, which followed the Neolithic.
