Phoenix

A bird of fabled beauty in Egyptian mythology.

It was said to live in the desert for five or six centuries, then consume itself in flames only to be reborn out of its own ashes, beginning the cycle again.

According to Wolfram von Eschenbach, this was accomplished through the virtue of the Grail.
