Plippalinot

A knight and ferryman on a river near the Castle of Marvels.

Plippalinot had worked out an arrangement by which he received the horse of any knight defeated in combat by Lischois Gwelljus, who guarded the river.

Plippalinot and his daughter Bene befriended and lodged Gawain when he came to the area and, after some reluctance, filled him in on the adventures to be had at the Castle of Marvels.
